On 16/11/2021 around 11:30 AM UTC - During an update, a bug was accidentally introduced which made it impossible for users to change their plan subscription in some scenarios.
Why Did this Issue Occur?
The introduced bug made it impossible to continue from the "Change Confirmation Modal" to the checkout flow when users tried to upgrade their plan subscription in the Plans & Billing Page inside their Hotjar Insights dashboard. Upsell paths, upgrades from basic to plus, cancelling downgrades were not affected as they don’t trigger Change Confirmation Modal. Once identified, the issue was fixed by a deployment.
What will we do to prevent this from happening in the future?
We will hold an internal postmortem to establish any relevant follow-up actions.
