On 2020-05-04 at 14:42 UTC our engineers identified that the Hotjar website (www.hotjar.com) was intermittently unavailable.

What happened?

From 14:36 UTC until 15:10 UTC, visitors to the Hotjar website intermittently saw an error message.

Why did this issue occur?

We introduced a change to our website which caused the outage.

What will we do to prevent this from happening in the future?

We’ll conduct an internal investigation and will update this when we know more.
