What happened?
On March 10, just before 10:00 UTC, we deployed a change that inadvertently changed how Surveys would attempt to display predefined answers for certain types of Survey questions. The predefined answers were not visible to the user, and they could only move to the next question.This only happened to Surveys for sites that made a change to their Hotjar Site Settings (such as a change to session capture or creating a new Survey) during the window before this issue was fixed.

Why did this issue occur?
The change caused an unexpected issue with how we rendered the potential responses to questions with predefined answers. The result was that no options were displayed to users.

What will we do to prevent this from happening in the future?
We will hold an internal postmortem to establish any relevant follow-up actions.
