On 2020-07-13 at 16:30 UTC our engineers identified an issue where the Hotjar Tracking Script not being loaded for any site.

What happened?

When attempting to load the Hotjar Tracking Script, an error in the Tracking Code caused it to not start collecting data.

The issue began at 16:15 UTC and we deployed an initial fix at 16:48 UTC. We slowly started collecting data until we were fully operational at 17:00 UTC.

This should not have affected your website in any other way.

Why did this issue occur?

This issue was the result of a bug in our Tracking Script.
